The big news this week is that we now expect to be able to incorporate
Dosadi's killer imaging library at no cost to our users - irrespective of whether they are using the free Synapse EMR Express or hosted versions. Previously this would have been a US$100 cost to each user.
Dosadi's EZTwain library will allow us to interact with most image capture devices ( eg. scanners ) that have a Twain interface ( almost all of them ). This will mean that Synapse EMR will have greater control over what is captured. It will smooth and speed up the workflow involved in capturing scanned images because we will be able to bypass the included native scanning software that comes with most scanners, cameras and webcams.
This week we have been looking at what users will want in speeding up access to other parts of Synapse EMR. When you're in the middle of a consultation, you might want to look at the last consult, or to see what was last prescribed and you don't want to close down the consult window to see this. To this end, we have started adding a number of functions that can be assigned to the function keys. So far, we have context senstive help, last consult, last prescription, and now quick patient search. To be released shortly. If you have ideas of what you would like to see in the way of functions, just let us know and we'll see if we can accomodate it. You can configure the function keys in Settings/Function Keys.
