Examination templates are here

Synapse EMR client 161 is now available, and includes a comprehensive point and click templating system for both review of systems and physical examinations.

You can look at the templates by selecting the "Custom" tab, and then move to the "Template" tab.  14 sample templates have been built, and you can click on them to see the source code for these, and double click, or use the "Check" button to display the template.

To actually use a template, you need to be in the consultation editor  where the fourth tab on the right after "Macros" allows you to select a template.

Note that when using a template, "-" translates to absent, "+" to present, "N" to normal, and "A" to abnormal.  The edit lists are only used to generate text if the "+" or "A" radio buttons are selected.  If not selected, then any entries are ignored.

Inside an examination, the findings are remembered until the consultation editor is closed down.

The templates supplied are first pass attempts, and will be modified based upon user feedback.  In the next release, you will be able to edit, create, and save your own templates.

How do you develop a custom template from scratch? Is there a GUI for doing so? Do you use Rebol/View? How?

Most of my visits are for follow up of multiple chronic problems, status of >3  for a level 4 visit. I would like to set a template for following my diabetic/hypertensive/hyperlipidemic patients, the status of their conditions, side effects

, if any, of their medications; how they are coping; eye, foot exams etc.

I can do it with macros and dictating but ...
