It seems that the development time for an early functional portal client was less than imagined. The new client build 185 turns into a portal client when using the credentials associated with a patient.
By default, the portal is enabled for all users. There is a new button on the server control panel that disables this for all patients. Use this once only. Thereafter any new patients will be added as disabled.
To enable a patient as a portal user, enable the "active" check box on the Patients/Details/Personal tab, and save the update.
The patient who logs in is able to see their details, demographics, results, diagnoses, allergies, procedures, ticklers, and plot some results. They are not allowed to change anything yet.
Subsequent versions of the portal client will enable secure messaging etc.
