But if view results is enabled, they can't open up the Results tab .. will fix in the next beta.

Now honors the view-results permission for the receptionist
Implements the new Chronic Disease Management system

Needs new server R82B2

Note that "Print" is not currently functional in the chronic disease management popup. Here is a tutorial on how to implement your own.

New template type of logic-outcome to support the diabetes template
Results are now refreshed after inserting values from the template

Check out the database update utility which will automatically update your database to add the new diabetes template, the new chronic disease management view for diabetes and the associated normals required.

Previous versions would silently crash Synapse if more than 4000 characters were saved in a consult. This version uses compression to increase that to about 8000 characters, and also warns you as well as saving the consult locally to the www/ directory. Needs latest R82B3 server

Support for unlimited text in a consult - tested up to 330,000 characters, which is about 120 pages. You shouldn't be writing reports longer than this!

Client R212B12

Fixes the problem with saving large amounts of text. Now tested successfully up to 330 kbs of text. Needs latest R82B4 server.

Increased size of Synapse.exe is due to the use of SSL for sending faxes ( encrypted transmission of faxes )
Bug fix for receptionist adding new patients

Digital results can now be extracted from OCR'd text and inserted into Synapse ( needs R82B8 server )
Fax tracking is now active
Error trap on rare macro popup error
The ability to save the fax tracking, and to customize the rules for extracting results from OCR'd text will be added soon

FaxLog is now working, and can be updated ( need to check timezone issues though ) - needs R82B9 server
Manual extra results can be added to the OCR'd extracted results
Can bring up the scan from the OCR window
Improved results parser
OCR'd results are now annotated so that you don't do them twice

Rules can be added or updated

Needs new server - R82B10

An update utility is also available to create default ocr rules for SI unit based systems.

Adds a clear button on the OCR rules window
Now shows the current age and age at time of consult on main screen

The update tool now adds the OCR rules for non SI based systems.

[Add New ICD9] button on the ICD9 lookup popup

This allows you to add a new ICD9 code to those that exist already. It saves the new file icd9.r on your local drive. If you want to use this on other PCs, you have to copy the file to your other PCs for the moment. I will eventually shift this to the server.

Note that due to some problems I had, I have to close the popup window down each time you add a new ICD code. But of course if you have a F key, you can bring it up again to add the next ICD9.

If you damage the file, just delete the icd9.r file and Synapse will offer to download a new one when it starts up.

Customize the 5 buttons on the Results tab - see Setttings/User/Tabs
Assessments (diagnoses) selected on a template are now added to the patient's list of diagnoses
