    Acronis True Image 9

I use Acronis True Image to Backup computers.  It is very easy.  However, outsourcing your backups is a grand idea, for most people.  Full Proof backing up of database data is not for the hobbyist !   SynpaseDirect also offers remote backup, but I haven't tried it yet.

Yes, the major problem is that backup needs to be done, and if it's not automated, it just won't get done.

Offsite backup is also a HIPAA requirement.

    Re: Acronis True Image 9

I get Acronis 9 to do incremental backups at 3am everyday on my \patients\ directory.

It stores the backups in the "Secure Zone" which is a hidden partition of the Hard Drive.

    Works well thus far.

    :)

I still do episodic entire system images.  That can be automated as well.

Sure. Agreed.  A good backup plan needs lots of options.  Hard drives fail, but this is mostly for file corruption/deletion/me screwing things up/virus minces the files kinda problems.

    Plus, it's easy.
