I love the little GUI popups as a quick method of data entry.

If reasonably easy to code ... it might be good to automatically change from -ve to +ve if a positive selection was made via the dropdown menus.

sure it only saves one easy click but .. hey, every little bit helps.

Actually you only need to set all the templates radio-groups to -ve, and the drop-list to "1+".   The "1+" will be ignored if the radio-group says "-ve"

radio-group "" data [ 1 "-v" "+v" ] drop-list 10 drop-list [ "1+" ... ]

sort of like this.

That's the worry. I want the -ve to be ignored if the drop list says 1+ 

That's not the design decision I took.

This means you can have any default value on the right of the radio-group and activate that by clicking on the radio-group right value.

will someone who records a 3+ glucose via the dropdown lose this information unless they click +ve ?

Yes.

Originally GUI templates were designed to be stand alone, and so it made sense to use the template name also to generate some text.  So, if your template was called "knee examination: a quick exam", then "knee examination:" was supposed to appear in the text.

Now that we can use GUI templates inside other macros, this is less of a convenience.

So, this will change so that if you have a ":" in the title, anything before that will be included in the text.  But if you don't, then none of the title text appears in your note.  So, you could call this instead  "knee examination - a quick exam" if you wanted that to happen.
