    Client R212 betas

    R212B1

    • New [reset] button on the prescription popup which clears the schedule
    • The path radio-button no longer clears the schedule
    • Secretaries now have access to the consults tab, but can only print with postscript.  They can not export to MS Word and change things.  They can not view either
    • Non-clinicians do not need to save-state, so disabled for them

Let's see if this satisfies those who want to stop secretaries from seeing priv content and those who need the secs to print out stuff as an audit trail exists for the postscript printing.

    Works intuitively now. :) Thanks.

    Graham:
Did you try the "Add Results" popup ( also accessible from the "?" button top right ) ?

I haven't.  That should work.  For the consult access previledge,  I used to let the secretaries type in refills and certain phone conversations.  As long as all the changes are tracked to each user, this should be fine.  Now they can't.

I am going to argue that letting staff with no medical training should not type in refills.

As for phone conversations - I will have to make some adjustments to allow them to enter them.

I'll have a nurse practitioner answering the phones soon, so I'll need permissions for that role.  I want my secretary typing in phone conversations, so I will just leave her permissions as a MD.  Pre-defined (unmodifiable) security permissions are not going to work well.  Too many variables.

    Security

I need to get some input on what activities there are that you might or might not want a receptionist to do.

    Currently they can:

    • Add patients
    • Change patient details
    • Enable and disable portal access, and alter portal permissions
    • Book in appts
Other things we need to look at:
    • print medical reports
    • add telephone conversations
    • view medications
    • print out results
    • view results
    • request medications
    anything else?

    Client R212B2 for Windows
    Server R82B1 for Windows

New permissions system for the receptionist role - see People/Staff.
Will need testing to see if there are any inconsistencies.
Needs the new server to support this.

Note I did not allow any way for reception staff to see the diagnoses ...

    Attachment: synapse shortcut.jpg

    2 problems.

    1) When I upgrade to R212B2 the old synapse icon does not work anymore. If the .exe icon is sent to the desktop I am able to launch synapse.

    2) When I overwrite the server with R82B2, there is no change in the server version, still reads 0.0.81, however it works. Actually worked with the previous server before the re-write.

I havent tried the different options with the new security setting yet but the new settings are seen.

wonder whats wrong?. Attaching a screen print of the desktop icon to get synapse working

I think the problem is your desktop shortcut doesn't point to synapse.exe .

    see .jpg.

    Same with synapse-server.exe probably.

    Re: Security

Sorry about that but the wiki is not allowing me to upload it as synapse.exe but insists on renaming it to synapse(2).exe.  So, when you save it, just make sure it is saved as synapse.exe and it is copied over your old version.

    Re: Security

Ok, fixed it by deleting the file and page, and recreating the page.

    It now says synapse.exe
