Synapse will automatically fix pronouns etc to the gender of the patient.  This was so that we could just use one gender in the template, and then even though "He " was output, it would then change to "She " when the document was saved.

However, a problem occurs when you use pronouns to refer to other people.

So,

Mrs Bloggs saw the neurologist today.  He will follow her up at his hospital clinic.

becomes

Mrs Bloggs saw the neurologist today.  She will follow her up at her hospital clinic.

I've been using the full name of the person to fix these issues, but perhaps I should stop this gender reassignment .. and try a different approach.  Perhaps dynamically change the template instead?
